What is Froggit?

Froggit is company memory for people and AI. It is made by Frowg Systems, Inc. and lives at froggit.ai.

Froggit keeps knowledge as sourced units called Froggits, so that people and AI assistants can work from the same memory and see where an answer came from.

What Froggit is not

  • Not the Undertale monster. Froggit is also the name of a frog-like monster in the video game Undertale. That is a different thing.
  • Not the Git terminal tool. A separate open-source terminal interface for Git uses the name "froggit." Froggit at froggit.ai is a different product, made by Frowg Systems, Inc.
  • Not a vector database, a notes app, or a chatbot. It is a memory that keeps knowledge together with its evidence.

Defined terms

  • Froggit: one durable unit of knowledge, kept with its sources and review state.
  • Provenance: where a piece of knowledge came from, recorded with it.
  • Review status: whether a Froggit has been through review.
  • Answer eligibility: whether a Froggit may be used as the basis of an answer.
  • Company memory: knowledge kept by the company rather than only in individuals' heads, inboxes, and chats, readable by people and AI.

How it works

  1. Work, decisions, and documents are captured as Froggits with their sources.
  2. Each Froggit carries its evidence and review status.
  3. People and AI search the memory and read the Froggit's text and citation details.
  4. Answers can cite the Froggit or source they came from.

Public search

The public search and fetch tools in Froggit's MCP manifest return public, safety-filtered Froggits, with citation URLs and IDs. A company's own memory is a separate matter from that public set.

Connect
